DBL opened for business in December of 1979. It was started by a couple of guys who had the idea that if you provide good quality and service to customers you will get all the business you would ever want. They knew there was a niche in the market for a lab to sell quality and service and they were right!
DBL has grown rapidly and has been very successful over the years as we maintain the same philosophy that the company was founded on. DBL is a full service lab that processes over 2,100 Rxs a day of which over 1,600 are finished and always take pride in the finish work that we produce. That is our specialty. We try to do the best job possible all the time and continuously seek ways to improve so that we can keep that “edge” over the competition.
We have always put a high degree of emphasis on quality customer service. We make sure the customers are kept informed. We go the extra mile to make sure we take care of the customer. This has always been and will continue to be what we feel that makes DBL stand out as an optical lab with integrity. It is what we have built our reputation upon. We provide reasonable turnaround times on Rx orders and will call to keep the customers informed when we cannot deliver the order within a reasonable amount of time or in the time frame specified by the customer.

DBL is truly a national lab. We serve customers in practically every geographic area of the country and currently have over 700 active customers. We currently employ 175 people, many of which are nearing or have exceeded 20 years of service. We have over 60 people that have been here in excess of 10 years. Overall, our staff exceeds 1,313 years of service which we are very proud of.
